![]() First, the front desk clerk told me the hotel was fully booked but she would see what she could do. Upon checking into my room I called down to the front desk for extra linen because I booked the conference suite and planned to use the sofa sleeper since I was traveling with my children. When I say “horrible”, that would be an understatement!!!! We arrived late that night, about 10 pm. I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express with my three daughters, ages 17, 7, and 1 Aug 1-4th. The hotel and room itself were very clean and seemed pretty modern given the age of the building. Now, all was not lost on the issues we had. To anyone reading this - if you don't like a firm bed, look for another hotel! I would liken the comfort level of the bed to throwing a blanket on the floor and sleeping there. Speaking of the bed.this brings me to the 2nd issue we had with our room. ![]() We left the windows open while we went out to explore the city and the room felt a little better when we returned, but it was not comfortable for us to sleep because of noise, temperature, and the bed. We did this, but even on the 11th floor, the amount of noise we could hear from outside was ridiculous. I called the front desk and they confirmed that the hotel is all on one heating/cooling system with no thermostats in the rooms. There was a wall fan (like many hotels have) in there and it was turned on but did absolutely nothing to change the feel in the room. Our room was hot and stuffy when we arrived. I had high hopes for this hotel because of the location and a few of the ratings I read before booking.but our experience was not at all what I expected.įirst, the hotel doesn't have thermostats in each room.
